Please note that relocation to Berlin is required. Assistance in the Visa process and during the relocation are available.

As part of our software engineering team you will get the chance to participate in the further development of reisetopia and its platform, especially our hotel product suitespot. By achieving your set goals you will actively drive our growth forward together with your team.

Your daily work focuses on the following tasks:

• Frontend and Backend Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable web applications using TypeScript, Node.js, and frontend libraries/frameworks like React (preferred), Vue or Angular.
• Technical Excellence: Stay up-to-date with trends in software engineering, technologies, and best practices, and apply this knowledge to improve team processes and product quality.
• Architecture: Contribute to system architecture and design for frontend and backend solutions.
• Code Analysis and Recommendations: Conduct code reviews, identify areas for improvement, and provide recommendations for optimization and refactoring.
• Code Quality: Write high-quality, maintainable, testable and scalable TypeScript code, with a focus on performance, security, and reliability.
• Code Maintainability: Ensure code is well-organized, documented, and easy to understand, with a focus on long-term maintainability and scalability.
• Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior developers with promoting code quality and best practices.

Considering the job as a Mid/Senior Full Stack Engineer (Typescript, React) (m/f/x) we are explicitly looking for someone who is fully engaged from day one and passionate about driving our tech projects forward. 

Therefore, we require the following qualifications:

• 4+ years of professional experience in software development, with 3+ years using TypeScript and related technologies such as React, Redux, Express and Node.js.
• Strong understanding in databases like MongoDB and SQL databases.
• Experience using testing tools like Jest and ideally Selenium or Cypress.
• Solid knowledge of software architecture principles and development best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug complex issues and optimize code performance.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
• Strong communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and technologies.
• Have experience working in an startup especially in an ever evolving agile team environment.

The annual gross salary for this position ranges between €55,000 and €75,000, depending on experience and qualifications. The role is classified as mid-level to senior-level.
